Day zero
The challenge
Bristle Beast's TikTok Shop GMV was $0. The Shop existed. The creator engine did not.
There was no affiliate program sending samples, no creator management keeping posters active, no briefs, and no paid layer on winning creator content. Opening a Shop is not the same as running one. Get Live was hired to build the engine from scratch.
Creator engine first
The strategy
Paid was not the plan. The plan was a creator engine — then a thin GMV Max budget on the videos that already sold.
- Affiliate program. Recruit creators who would post and sell, not a rented roster sitting in a spreadsheet.
- Samples. 76 samples into the hands of people who would make content.
- Creator management. Stay on the ones who posted so the Shop did not get one video and silence.
- Briefs. Tell creators what to show, what to say, and which offer to send people to.
- Paid creator content. Put the small paid budget behind creator videos, not brand-account guesswork.
- Shop optimization. Listings, offer, and Seller Center ready for the traffic creators send.
- Commission. 20% creator commission on this shop — a shop-specific setting, not a Get Live rate card.
- GMV Max on winners. About ~$25/day, ~$500 in the window, only on content that was already converting.
30 days
The results
$16,742.44 TikTok Shop GMV. 605 orders. 601 customers. 631 items sold.
94.3% of that GMV came from creator content ($15,792.53). Creator-attributed GMV was $14,358.98 across 542 items. The engine behind it: 73 creator videos, 12 LIVE streams, and 76 samples.
$16.7K in GMV generated with only $500 in paid media spend. That is the accurate paid line. Full stop.
Engine, then ads
The key insight
The creator engine did the selling. Paid media was an accelerator on what already converted — not the thing that created demand.
A Shop with no creators and a media budget is still a Shop with no creators. Bristle Beast's first 30 days went the other way: build the loop, then spend a little to push the videos that were already working. 94.3% of GMV from creator content is the proof. We do not frame that as a return on ad spend.
Creators → Content → Sales → Amplification → Scale
That is the loop Get Live built for Bristle Beast, and the loop we run for brands that hire us to operate the Shop.
- Creators. Recruit, sample, brief, and manage the people who will post.
- Content. Videos and LIVEs that show the product the way a buyer decides.
- Sales. Affiliate attribution on the Shop, not a screenshot of someone else's dashboard.
- Amplification. GMV Max on winners — here, about ~$25/day.
- Scale. Repeat the loop. Do not start over with ads when the engine is what compounded.
If you want that engine on your Shop, hire Get Live to run it. The first conversation is about your catalog, not a package.
