As of Oct 15, 2026
The short answer
Black Friday and Cyber Monday on TikTok Shop run from November 11 to November 30, 2026, according to TikTok's Newsroom post “What's shaping the holiday season on TikTok Shop”, published October 14, 2026. That is a 20-day campaign window, not a four-day weekend. TikTok devotes a full section of the post to LIVE: it says sellers hosting livestreams during the 2025 BFCM weekend saw 84% year-over-year sales growth, and that U.S. LIVE Shopping sales more than doubled in the first half of 2026.
For a brand that wants to sell on LIVE during BFCM, the practical takeaway is the calendar. From today, Oct 15, there are 27 days until the campaign opens on Nov 11. Booth, hosts, offer, inventory and shop health all have to be ready before then. Also today, TikTok Shop Academy published three new course pages on a new version of the Shop Performance Score, scheduled to launch Oct 16, and re-dated the Seller Referral Program page. Both are covered in Also today below.
TikTok Newsroom · Oct 14, 2026
BFCM 2026 dates on TikTok Shop
The post opens and closes with the dates: Black Friday and Cyber Monday “return to TikTok Shop from November 11 to November 30, bringing shoppers, brands, and creators together.” It is the top Product post on the TikTok Newsroom today, filed under Product and News. Our previous Newsroom watch covered TikTok's Oct 5 AI updates for advertisers.
TikTok's framing figures from the opening sections:
- #holidayshopping content rose 263% in September, compared with August.
- In 2025 there were more than 100 billion searches with e-commerce intent on TikTok Shop in the U.S.
- Since 2024, TikTok Shop expanded selection across product categories by more than 1,200%.
- Nearly a third of U.S. TikTok users expect to buy a gift this Black Friday.
- Brands named as joining TikTok Shop this year: Sephora, Michael Kors, Best Buy, Ulta Beauty, Victoria's Secret “and more.”
- GlobalData research cited by TikTok: 67% of Americans on the platform say they trust a large brand the same or more when they encounter it on TikTok Shop than on another platform, rising to 82% among U.S. TikTok Shop users aged 18 to 24.
The post does not publish seller registration deadlines, campaign fees, subsidy terms or eligibility rules for the BFCM campaign. Look for those in Seller Center campaign registration, not in this announcement.
“Holiday Shopping Enters Its LIVE Era”
What TikTok said about LIVE
TikTok gives LIVE its own section. It describes LIVE Shopping as a place where shoppers can “dive deeper into product education, including seeing things demonstrated, and asking questions in real-time, with the chance to hear directly from brands and creators.” The numbers it gives:
- BFCM 2025: during the four-day Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend, TikTok Shop's sales surpassed $500 million.
- Livestream sellers in BFCM 2025: 84% year-over-year sales growth across more than 760,000 sessions and 1.6 billion views.
- H1 2026: LIVE Shopping sales on TikTok Shop in the U.S. more than doubled year over year.
- Forecast (eMarketer, as cited by TikTok): spend per livestream buyer will rise 23.2% to $339.27 in 2026.
- Search intent: “TikTok Shop shopping” content grew 1,017% month over month, August to September.
- A recent example: TikTok says that earlier this month Rihanna joined Fenty Beauty on TikTok Shop LIVE, where over one million users tuned in during a 12-hour livestream that generated 53 million impressions.
TikTok's stated expectation: “This season, we expect LIVE Shopping to play an even bigger role in turning discovery into a shopping experience that consumers can spend time with and return to.” The post also mentions “exclusive LIVE Shopping events from great brands and trusted creators” as part of how shoppers discover products.
Get Live's read: the 84% growth figure is about sellers who hosted livestreams, as a group. It does not tell you what any single shop will sell, and TikTok does not break it down by category or shop size. The direction is clear, though: TikTok is presenting LIVE as a core part of BFCM, not an add-on.
“Trends Shaping 2026 Holiday Lists”
Category trends TikTok named
TikTok lists five trends. All figures are TikTok's, for U.S. users unless noted.
Pre-owned luxury
U.S. TikTok users are 2.5 times more likely to buy a luxury item as a gift this Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The highest-priced item bought on TikTok Shop in the U.S. this year was a pre-owned luxury bag for $25,580.
Jewelry
22% of U.S. TikTok users expect to buy accessories, including jewelry, this BFCM. Sales of single IGA certified lab diamonds on TikTok Shop more than quadrupled from May to September. In September, searches for “gold jewelry” rose 1,134% and “opal rings” 825% month over month, and #friendshipbracelet searches rose 120%. Eligible jewelry purchases can come with one year of third-party insurance protection. If you sell jewelry, the Academy's Jewelry Products Requirements policy, still dated Oct 13, is summarized in our Oct 13 post.
Collectibles
Category sales (trading cards, memorabilia, coins, figurines, squishy toys) grew 230% year over year in October, and searches for “squishy toys” rose 149% in September compared with August. Collectible sellers who use LIVE auctions should re-read the LIVE Auction policy covered in our Oct 14 post.
Gaming
One in five U.S. TikTok users expect to buy gaming devices or items this BFCM. TikTok says NEX Playground sold more than 25,000 units of its family gaming console on TikTok Shop last year.
Holiday fashion and nails
#christmaspajamas content rose 297% month over month, August to September. Womenswear is a third of all fashion category sales on TikTok Shop so far this year. “Fall nails inspo” searches rose 251% and “fall nails” 333% over the same period.
TikTok also lists September month-over-month growth for #fallwishlist (450%), #holidaydecor (97%), #giftsforwomen (440%), #holidaygiftideas (248%) and #bananabreadrecipes (1,503%).
“What Shoppers Can Expect”
Delivery and returns for shoppers
- 3-Day Delivery badge: shown on eligible products expected to arrive within three business days.
- Happy Returns: new this fall, eligible purchases can be returned at approximately 10,000 Happy Returns locations across the U.S., with no box or label needed.
The post does not say how a product or seller qualifies for either. Both are worth checking in Seller Center before Nov 11. Fast delivery is also the theme of the new Logistics & Fulfillment Score covered below.
Get Live's read
What it means for brands planning LIVE for BFCM
These are Get Live's suggestions, not TikTok guidance. They follow from what the post says: a 20-day window, LIVE featured as a growth channel, and product education and real-time questions as the reason shoppers watch.
- Plan for 20 days, not one weekend. A Nov 11 to Nov 30 window means you need a LIVE calendar with repeat shows, not one hero stream. Decide how many shows per week your team and inventory can support.
- Build shows around demonstration. TikTok's own description of LIVE is seeing products demonstrated and getting questions answered in real time. Script the demo, the top five buyer questions, and the answers.
- Match the offer to the LIVE tools you can use. LIVE Flash Sale, LIVE Price Cut and LIVE Group Deal cannot run at the same time in one room, and the new tools have their own eligibility rules (see our Oct 14 post). Plan them as separate segments.
- Check shop health now. LIVE Price Cut requires a Shop Performance Score of 3.5 or more, as does partnering with affiliate creators on LIVE Auctions, and the new SPS version is scheduled to launch Oct 16. See Also today.
- Line up creators early. TikTok's BFCM framing brings “shoppers, brands, and creators together.” If affiliates will go LIVE on your products, samples and invitations need to go out before November. Our creator affiliate guide covers the setup.
- Plan for fast shipping. The 3-Day Delivery badge and the new Dispatch Time and Transit Time metrics both reward speed. Stock and fulfillment for LIVE spikes should be agreed before the first show.
For the full Q4 operating checklist, see our TikTok Shop holiday prep guide and the TikTok Shop LIVE selling guide.
Counting from Oct 15, 2026
A working timeline to Nov 11
- Oct 16: new SPS version scheduled to launch, per the Academy. Check your score and the dimension that moved most.
- Oct 19 to Oct 26: Logistics & Fulfillment appeals for the new version are expected to open in batches from 10/19 and to all sellers by 10/26, per the Academy.
- Oct 21: the last kickoff date that leaves 21 days before Nov 11. Get Live's commitment is a first live-selling broadcast within 21 days of kickoff, so starting by Oct 21 keeps a first show inside that window before BFCM opens.
- Oct 31: end of Phase 1 of the Seller Referral Program, per its terms.
- Nov 11 to Nov 30: Black Friday and Cyber Monday on TikTok Shop, per the Newsroom.
Dates not from TikTok (such as Oct 21) are simple date math, shown to help you plan.
TikTok Shop Academy · Updated Oct 15, 2026
Also today: Shop Performance Score courses and Seller Referral
The TikTok Shop Academy home lists four course and feature entries as UPDATE, Updated Oct 15, 2026: TikTok Shop US - Seller Referral Program; [New] SPS: Introduction to Logistics and Fulfillment Score; [New] SPS: Introduction to Product Quality Score; and [New] Shop Performance Score New Version Trial-run Guide. The Latest policies list is unchanged from yesterday: Jewelry Products Requirements (Oct 13), LIVE Auction: Requirements & Guidelines (Oct 13), Pet Healthcare Product Requirements (Oct 9), and Medical Devices and Medical Supplies Requirements (Oct 9).
New Shop Performance Score: trial now, launch Oct 16
Per the Trial-run Guide (page dated 10/15/2026, United States):
- The new SPS entered a trial run on 2026/9/21 and is scheduled to officially launch on 2026/10/16.
- During the trial, new-version scores are preview only. Scores and benefits are still based on the existing version, and the preview rolls out in batches. Pre-owned shops are in the second-week rollout.
- Only shops that meet the SPS eligibility threshold can see the preview. A shop gets an SPS with at least 30 delivered orders in the past 90 days, excluding fake, sample and gift orders.
- SPS still has three dimensions: Product Satisfaction, Logistics & Fulfillment, and Customer Service. Customer Service (After-Sales Handling Time and IM Dissatisfaction Rate) is unchanged.
- The page keeps a 3.0 “red line”: below 3.0, affiliate and campaign benefits are revoked and related plans and products may be removed. Shops must recover to 3.5 or more to regain eligibility.
- New dimension-level traffic incentives are described, but the page says specific thresholds and incentive levels are subject to launch.
- One line says final benefit thresholds will be confirmed at the official launch “on 10/15”, while the rest of the page says launch is 10/16. We report both.
Logistics & Fulfillment Score: from on time to faster
Per [New] SPS: Introduction to Logistics and Fulfillment Score (10/15/2026), the score is out of 5 and the key change is from “delivered on time” to “delivered faster.”
- Dispatch Time (new, 30 days): average time from Awaiting shipment to In Transit. Fulfilled by TikTok orders and orders that are not seller-responsible are counted at a category reference standard.
- Transit Time (new, 30 days): average time from In Transit to Delivered.
- Seller Fault Cancellation Rate: unchanged.
- Free Shipping Coverage (new bonus, 7 days): share of delivered orders with $0 paid shipping. At 80% or more, +0.5 to the dimension score, capped at 5. The threshold is 60% for 12 listed categories, including Collectibles, Sports Trading Cards, Food & Beverages, Fashion Accessories and Books, Magazines & Audio. Auction orders are excluded.
- Back-orders are counted at the category's 3.5-point Dispatch Time standard; Make to Order and Pre-order are excluded. Less-than-truckload orders are excluded from both time metrics.
- Appeals for the new version are not supported during the trial. Logistics appeals are expected to open in batches from 10/19 and to all sellers by 10/26.
Product Quality Score: scored per product
Per [New] SPS: Introduction to Product Quality Score (10/15/2026), Product Satisfaction moves from one shop-level score to a score for each product, weighted by each product's share of orders.
- A product needs at least 5 valid orders in the past 90 days to be scored.
- Each product is scored on Negative Review Rate (1 to 2 star reviews) and Non-Buyer Fault Return & Refund Rate. The window moves from 60 to 90 days.
- Positive Feedback Rate is a high-score gate: to score 4.5 or more, a product needs at least 90% positive feedback, or it is capped at 4.4.
- Low-volume products get floors: 5 to 10 delivered orders default to 3.5; 11 to 30 orders with at most one problem order get a 3.5 floor.
- Shops whose calculation category is Pre-owned stay on the old shop-level method.
- The page says product-level traffic incentives are coming, with thresholds “subject to the official launch.”
Get Live's read for BFCM: LIVE drives order spikes, and order spikes stress dispatch. Under the new version, a slow week of shipping after a big LIVE shows up in Dispatch Time, and a hero product with a run of bad reviews now pulls down its own score and weighs on the shop score by its share of orders. Check the preview, if you can see it, before you commit LIVE inventory.
Seller Referral Program: re-dated, same terms
The TikTok Shop US - Seller Referral Program page now shows 10/15/2026, up from 10/13/2026 in our Oct 13 post. Its AI summary was rewritten, but the terms we compared match: $50 when a new referred US seller reaches $100 settled GMV and 5 unique buyers within 30 days, $100 more at $1,000 settled GMV, up to $150 per qualified referral, a limit of 10 referred sellers per referrer, T+7 risk review, rewards first come, first served, Phase 1 from October 9 to October 31, and the program valid until December 31, 2026.
