As of Oct 14, 2026
The short answer
TikTok Shop Academy for US sellers published two new LIVE selling tools on Oct 13, 2026, LIVE Price Cut and LIVE Group Deal, and on Oct 14 a new course on Post-view Search, a Seller Center workspace for turning video views into product searches. Price Cut lets LIVE viewers push a price down together toward a floor you set; Group Deal unlocks a fixed price when a group of 3 to 6 shoppers fills. Both run 15 seconds to 20 minutes, cannot run at the same time as LIVE Flash Sale or each other, and cannot be ended early once a shopper joins.
The same watch also shows an updated Affiliate Center Seller Agent page (Oct 14), an updated LIVE Auction: Requirements & Guidelines policy (Oct 13), and Jewelry Products Requirements, now dated Oct 13 after showing Oct 12 yesterday. Get Live opened all six pages, plus the Academy home, with a signed-out browser on the morning of Oct 14, so every link below is publicly viewable.

LIVE Price Cut
LIVE Price Cut describes an interactive LIVE pricing mechanic where shoppers work together to lower a product's price in real time. Instead of showing the discount upfront, the audience pushes the price down.
The four settings you control
- Floor price: the lowest price the activity can reach. The price never goes below it.
- Target participant count: how many participants it takes to reach the floor. Must be lower than activity inventory.
- Activity inventory: units allocated, up to available stock.
- Duration: 15 seconds to 20 minutes.
How it runs, per the page
- Each shopper who joins pre-authorizes payment and shipping and lowers the price once. Drops are larger early and smaller near the floor.
- When time runs out, every participant is charged the last price reached, whether or not the floor was hit.
- If the floor is reached early and inventory remains, other shoppers in the LIVE can also buy at the floor price until the activity ends or stock runs out.
- Each shopper can participate once per activity.
- Inventory is not reserved at creation; it is validated and locked when you click Start.
- Once anyone has participated, the activity cannot be ended early.
- Phase 1 is limited to single-SKU products or multi-SKU products where all SKUs share one selling price.
- Shoppers see a card with the starting and current price, progress to the floor, participant count, a countdown, and the result.
Eligibility
- Seller: AHR 200 or higher; SPS 3.5 or higher (no SPS means not eligible); no inferior seller violations in 30 days; not high risk for IP or by risk control.
- Creator: Creator Health Score above 150; not high risk for IP; no recent serious violations; meets account-performance and compliance requirements.
- Both parties must independently qualify.
Who TikTok says it fits
The page names high-margin, price-flexible sellers (it lists Beauty & Personal Care, Fashion Accessories, Jewelry and Phone Accessories as examples) and sellers clearing overstock or end-of-season inventory.
Get Live's read: the risky setting is the floor. If your audience reaches the target early, everyone else in the room can buy at the floor until stock runs out, so only set a floor you are happy to sell the whole allocation at. And because participants are charged automatically, the host has to say out loud that joining is a purchase, as the page itself recommends. Our LIVE selling guide covers how to run the room around a moment like this.

LIVE Group Deal
LIVE Group Deal lets shoppers join small groups to unlock a fixed deal price together. It can be set up in LIVE Manager on PC and in the app.
The four settings
- Group Deal price: the fixed price paid once a group fills.
- Group size: 3 to 6 shoppers.
- Group Deal quantity: total units allocated, up to available stock. It does not need to be a multiple of the group size.
- Duration: 15 seconds to 20 minutes.
How it runs, per the page
- Shoppers join the current group and pre-authorize payment. A full group settles immediately: everyone is charged and orders are created.
- The next group opens automatically until time or quantity runs out.
- An incomplete group at the end does not unlock; those shoppers are not charged and their unfinished orders are canceled.
- Each shopper joins once, picks one SKU and one unit, and cannot cancel before the countdown ends.
- If a shopper's payment fails after their group unlocks, they get a secondary-payment flow and the rest of the group keeps its orders.
- The final price a shopper sees may also reflect platform or merchant incentives that apply to them.
TikTok's own worked example: group size 5, price $10, quantity 50, 5 minutes. If 28 shoppers join, 5 full groups form, the first 25 are charged $10, and the last 3 are not. The page suggests starting with a 10% discount, a group size of 3 and a 5-minute duration, then adjusting.
Eligibility, and a discrepancy on the page
The Eligibility section lists an AHR of 180 or higher, SPS 3.5 or higher (no SPS means not eligible), no inferior seller violations in 30 days, and no IP or risk-control high-risk flags. The FAQ on the same page says AHR 200 or higher. We are reporting both; check your own Seller Center before you plan around the lower number.
The page names scaled brands with hero SKUs (Beauty & Personal Care, Home & Kitchen, Consumer Electronics & Accessories, Pet, Household Essentials), product launches, and inventory clearance as the best fits.
Side by side, from the two pages
Price Cut vs Group Deal vs Flash Sale
- Flash Sale: shows the full lower price to everyone immediately (as described on both new pages).
- Group Deal: one fixed price that unlocks only when a group of 3 to 6 fills; incomplete groups pay nothing.
- Price Cut: the price falls step by step as people join; every participant pays the final price reached, floor or not.
- Shared rules: only one of the three can be active at a time; 15 seconds to 20 minutes; inventory locks at Start; no ending early once anyone joins; single-price SKUs only in this phase; stacks with merchant and platform subsidies.
- Campaign price checks: both pages say these prices are not counted toward a product's lowest price in the past 30 days, so running them does not affect campaign registration price checks.
Get Live's read: that last point matters going into Q4. Brands that have avoided deep LIVE discounts to protect their 30-day low for campaign registration now have two mechanics TikTok says sit outside that check. See our holiday prep guide for the wider calendar.

Post-view Search: Help your video viewers find your products
Post-view Search describes the searches people make after a video sparks interest: tapping a suggested search below the video, a suggested search above the comments, or a search-linked phrase in a comment. TikTok frames it as content creating demand and search capturing it, and says a video should be judged on search volume, product impressions, orders and Search GMV, not just views.
The workspace
- My videos: your seller account's videos. Add keywords, link products, and post a comment.
- Creator videos: eligible affiliate creator videos connected to your business. Add keywords and link products; no comments, because a seller cannot speak for a creator.
- Top videos: a read-only research view of strong Post-view Search content in your category, with top keywords.
- Overview metrics: Video impressions, Search volume, Search product impressions, Search orders, and Search GMV, with date comparison.
Limits, per the page
- Up to 5 keywords per video. Use specific brand, product type, feature, style and use-case terms; avoid unrelated trends, restricted terms, or brands you are not authorized to use.
- Up to 20 linked products, shown in or closely matching the video. Irrelevant items may be removed in review.
- Comments up to 500 characters, eligible seller-owned videos only, posted through the linked TikTok account. The page says pinning a comment with a post-view search keyword can improve click rate.
- Keywords and comment search terms generally take effect the following day and stay subject to safety and relevance checks.
- Only videos that clearly recommend products appear; weak or non-shopping videos do not.
- TikTok says inputs are signals only: they do not guarantee a term appears, a product gets impressions, or the preview matches the final experience.
A note on navigation: the page gives two paths, Marketing > Search Optimization in the text and Products > Search Optimization > Post-view Search under Access. We report both.
Get Live's read: this is the first time the Academy gives sellers a direct lever on creator videos' search terms. Start with the videos already driving search volume, check the queries viewers actually typed, and make sure the linked products match what is on screen. Our creator affiliate guide covers getting more of those creator videos in the first place.

Affiliate Center Seller Agent
Affiliate Center Seller Agent describes a co-pilot chat panel inside Affiliate Center, opened from a floating bubble on any Affiliate Center page or from quick entries on Find Creator and Sample Approval.
- Find creators by product, creator, similar creators, category, or attributes such as GMV, follower count and fulfillment rate, with exclusions.
- Send invitations, carrying a creator list over from a search without re-entering it.
- Approve samples: submit requests, act on pending approvals, check progress, handle basic exceptions.
- Answer affiliate FAQs on policy, rules and how-to inline.
- Available to US-based sellers at launch; replies in your seller backend language; text only, 500 characters per message.
- No cross-session memory; reopening after about 2.5 hours starts a new session. It does not replace existing Affiliate Center pages.
The page is marked as an update, but it has no change log, so we do not say what changed.

LIVE Auction: Requirements & Guidelines
LIVE Auction: Requirements & Guidelines applies to sellers, Official Shop Creators, Marketing Creators and affiliate creators. It is long; these are the points most brands will hit first.
- Eligibility: sellers need AHR above 150, good standing and no recent serious violations. Official Shop, Marketing and affiliate creators need a Creator Health Score above 150; affiliate creators also need a Promotion Performance Score above 3.5. To partner with affiliate creators on auctions, sellers need SPS 3.5+ and AHR 200+.
- Listings: each product link is exactly one physical item. No stock-only images for pre-owned, refurbished or damaged items. Starting bid, bidding duration and end method cannot change once display or bidding starts.
- On camera: keep items visible, disclose defects before bidding, and show each won item for at least 2 seconds while verbally confirming the win.
- Fair bidding: only real end buyers may bid; no bids from sellers, hosts, staff, contacts or linked accounts, and no re-auctioning because the winning bid was low.
- Surprise Set: up to 500 items per set; maximum bid $5,000 per set for collectibles, $1,000 for coins and currency, $500 for other eligible categories; at least a 5% chance of the highest-value item; buyers must be 18+, and buyers under 25 can buy at most 8 units a day.
- Shipping and fulfillment: fees must reflect actual cost (no $1 bid with a $20 shipping fee), and valid shipment is due within 2 days.
- Condition grades: pre-owned jewelry and luxury goods use New, Excellent, Very Good, Good and Fair; Good is the minimum saleable grade.
The policy is dated Oct 13, 2026, but it has no change log, so we do not claim which of these rules is new.

Jewelry Products Requirements
Jewelry Products Requirements moved from Updated Oct 12 to Updated Oct 13 on the Academy home. The text we captured today matches the requirements we summarized in our Oct 13 post: Country of Origin shown permanently per 19 CFR Part 134, gold test reports from a listed lab within 365 days, AGS or GIA for natural diamonds, IGI or GIA for lab-created, and AGS, GIA, IGI or AGL for ruby, sapphire and emerald. If you sell fine jewelry at auction, the LIVE Auction policy above adds its own condition grades and hallmark disclosure rules.
Scope
What this post does and does not say
- It reports six Academy pages as we opened them, signed out, on Oct 14, 2026.
- It does not say which lines changed on the two updated pages. None has a change log.
- It does not say any shop is eligible for Price Cut, Group Deal, Post-view Search or LIVE Auction, and includes no results, conversion rates or stats.
- Where a page contradicts itself (Group Deal AHR; Post-view Search menu path), we report both versions.
- It is not legal, tax, or compliance advice.
Get Live's suggestions
This week's checklist
- Check AHR and SPS today. Price Cut needs AHR 200+; Group Deal lists 180+ in one place and 200+ in another.
- Pick one single-price SKU per LIVE to test Group Deal (TikTok's starting point: 10% off, group of 3, 5 minutes).
- For Price Cut, set the floor at a price you would sell the whole allocation at, and script the “joining is a purchase” line for the host.
- Never run Price Cut, Group Deal and Flash Sale at the same moment; plan them as separate segments.
- Open Post-view Search, sort videos by search volume, and add up to five accurate keywords and matching products to the top performers.
- If you run auctions, re-read the 2-second win display, shipping-fee and 2-day shipment rules with your hosts.

How Get Live uses this
Get Live is a certified TikTok Shop Partner agency that runs TikTok Shop for brands, including LIVE, creator programs and the catalog. New LIVE mechanics only pay off when the host, the offer and the inventory are planned together, and search signals only help when the products linked to a video match what viewers saw. Our LIVE selling guide shows how we run shop LIVE. If you would rather have a team plan this for your shop, see the TikTok Shop agency page or get in touch at getlive.ai.
